where nick meets johnny and deadwood isn’t far away

don’t tell no one. let’s keep it private. there is a new bar in town — at least for me. a place where rockabilly meets nick cave and johnny cash is playing some tunes not far from deadwood. where the drunk sits w/ the sober and the beauty barmaid is serving well the cocktails the bartender created. one filled w/ smoke, one w/ air — two rooms; the second in front w/ a view, just perfect for me.

voodoo music from hell, from the lower east Side, from berlin

when i dance in the kitchen and drum the pans and clap my hands and scream «ayy!» and «oy!» it has one simple reason: i listen to music. good music. hot music. hot like hell. it’s like voodoo. i can’t control myself — i have to move, to stomp, to dance. listen to the beats, the voice, the words; right like now: Gogol Bordello from the Lower East Side, NY — russian-gypsy-dancehall-punk-dub-rock’n’roll:

BUT the real reason why i write right now is: Lota Red is playing on saturday. having a gig, a party, a big wild stampede. rockabilly at its best: from hell but hotter. melt my mind and let me swing’n’dance.

no ordinary day

It started just as a ordinary day. checked e-mails. said to my feedreader go grab me some fresh news… and it said to me: hey, Beaucoup Kevin done a muxtape last night, maybe you should check it out. and I did. and my soundsystem said: go and start your day dancing. funkin’ wild. and still i’m dancing. can’t stop. it’s like living in a musical. funk. soul. disco.

this is NOT an ordinary day. thank you kevin.
